WEO's Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) Membership

WEO Washington has the opportunity to maintain membership in the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC). Dues are paid annually. GVCC is an exceptional resource for entrepreneurs and WEO members are encouraged to officially join the GVCC with their business, to fully experience all the opportunities GVCC has to offer. However, WEO members have the opportunity to "Try Before They Buy" by attending a couple GVCC events as WEO members, before joining the GVCC.

Guidelines for WEO's GVCC membership are as follows:

1. The standing President of WEO is considered the spokesperson for the organization. The President can attend any GVCC sponsored event or meeting, with the understanding they are the representative for WEO. They will register for any events as the WEO President, and will take those opportunities to promote the organization of WEO, and provide resources back to WEO from the GVCC. If the President of WEO is unable to act as the spokesperson, she can designate her alternate representative, preferably from the Board of Directors of WEO. The WEO spokesperson is the only WEO member who can serve in or on a GVCC Committee, task force, or other, as a representative of WEO, and must be approved by the WEO Board.

2. Any member of WEO has the opportunity to register and attend a GVCC event. They will register as "a member of WEO", and are expected to promote WEO at the event. While they can exchange their business cards and network with others, full participation and direct promotion of their own business is reserved for GVCC paid members. WEO allows for a member to attend 2 GVCC events as a WEO visitor. GVCC event fees will be paid by the attendee. If a WEO member chooses to participate in GVCC more than the 2 events, they must join the GVCC under their own business.
